Bio. Regi is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. In his clinical experience, he has provided individual, couple, and family therapy services at various agencies and nonprofits in Maryland. Regi has experience working with youth and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, establishing boundaries, improving communication, life transitions, and relational difficulties. Regi has worked with clients of varying family & couple relationship structures, including polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous couples, and identifying as a trans man himself, he specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ BIPOC clients on sexuality and gender identity related issues. Maintaining a culturally competent and trauma-informed lens is imperative to Regi’s work with his clients, as he believes the intersectionality of our identities can play a significant role in our experiences and view of self.
Treatment Approach. Providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment that fosters openness and authenticity is a main pillar in Regi’s work with his clients. He takes a collaborative and strength-based approach with his clients when identifying goals and treatment approaches for therapy. Regi believes his clients are the experts of their experience and he strives to be a guide as his clients pursue a deeper sense of self-love and connection with those most important to them. Regi is trained in a variety of therapy modalities, with a focus on systems theory, including attachment-based approaches, narrative therapy, structural therapy, emotion-focused therapy, internal family systems, experiential, Bowenian therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
Education. Regi received his undergraduate degree from Towson University. He holds a master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland at College Park.
